Streaming apps
Use HockeyScore with any streaming app
If your app can show a web page on top of your video, it can show your scoreboard.
What to look for
Streaming apps call it different things: browser source, web source, web widget, web page overlay or HTML overlay. Any of them will work.
- Copy your overlay link from your scoreboard home.
- Add a browser or web source and paste the link.
- Set the size to
1920×1080, or the size of your stream. - Make it fill the whole picture and put it above your camera.
The page has a see-through background, so you don't need a green screen or chroma key.
Apps that can't show overlays
The YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and GameChanger apps stream straight from the camera and have no way to add an overlay. To stream to YouTube or Facebook with a scoreboard from a phone, use Streamlabs Mobile or PRISM instead. Both are free.
Settings that matter
| Setting | Use |
|---|---|
| Width × height | 1920 × 1080 (or your stream size) |
| Position | Fill the whole frame |
| Layer order | Above the camera |
| Background | Leave transparent, no chroma key |
Want to test the link first?
Open the overlay link in any web browser. You'll see the scoreboard on a see-through (usually white) page. Tap Goal on your scoreboard home and watch it change.
